Our Team

Irene's dedication to volunteerism shines through her extensive involvement in various welfare organizations. With nearly 45 years of service to Lions Clubs International, a global service organization, Irene's commitment led her to become the second woman to hold the esteemed position of District Governor in Singapore, overseeing more than 2000 members. Her contributions extended further as she was appointed by the Ministry of Health to chair the Lions Home for the Elders in the Medifund Board for four years. Additionally, Irene served as a grassroots leader in Ang Mo Kio GRC, showcasing her deep-rooted commitment to community development.

Despite officially retiring decades ago, Irene's passion for service remains as vibrant as ever. Her involvement in leadership programs and career initiatives at e2i NTUC Employment and Employability Institute, coupled with her certification as a Trainer by ACTA (Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment), underscores her unwavering commitment to empowering others and fostering professional growth.

Recently, Irene's passion found a new focus when she volunteered at the Foreign Domestic Worker Association for Support & Training ("FAST") as a Secretary and Exco Board member. It was here that she discovered a profound connection with migrant workers, who sacrifice their family time to work abroad. Irene's compassion and genuine interest in people drive her to make even greater sacrifices for the betterment of others.

Through Irene and Henre visionary leadership, they founded and established Legend Training Centre dedicated to empowering domestic helpers with essential skills in elder caregiving. Beyond imparting practical knowledge, these courses serve as a catalyst for personal and professional growth, offering participants a pathway to realize their aspirations as allied health workers.

Legend Training Center stands as a beacon of hope and opportunity, embodying her unwavering belief in the transformative power of education and community engagement.
