To empower caregivers with knowledge and skills to manage the emotional and physical demands of caregiving, recognise signs of stress and burnout, and implement effective self-care strategies.

Learning Outcomes

  • Understand the importance of psychological well-being of caregivers and their need for respite from the emotional and physical stress. 

  • Recognise the signs and symptoms of caregiver stress and burnout. 

  • Set priorities and boundaries and recognise the need to seek appropriate support when required. 

  • Maintain connections with family and friends. 

  • Be self aware to know one’s own limitations, self-care needs, and seek assistance when necessary to manage self and the care recipient. 

  • Plan to be equipped with caregiving knowledge, skills, tips and tools to better support the care recipient.
